John is currently a Geotechnical engineering (Tailings) for Cartledge (Mining & Geotechnics) based in Perth Australia who joined in September 2024 and has demonstrated a commitment to professional advancement. His prior experience includes four years as a Project and Geotechnical engineer specializing in geotechnical consulting, particularly in tailings mine waste management and a background in various other geotechnical disciplines. His work spans various project phases, including feasibility studies, design, and operations for large mining tailings projects.
John has experiences with site geotechnical investigations, analyses and designs relating to TSF and associated infrastructure, risk management, instrumentation monitoring strategy for various mining Tailings storage facility and project management. He has worked on- site operational support and construction activities for Iron Ore and Gold operations across WA Australia.
In his current role, John supports and collaborates with the Principal Engineer on all aspects of tailings dam projects, from initial design and review work to design assessments, and EOR (Engineer of Record) operational support, in addition to general geotechnical duties.
